Northern Lights
In December 2014 I set out on a hunt to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, a trip to Iceland did not yield the Northern Lights due to bad weather - but Iceland is more than just the Northern Lights - so Iceland definitely deserves a visit another time.
In February 2015 I tried again - this time at the top of Norway - where Tromsø was the starting point and here I was successful.
On an evening dog sled ride the heavens opened up - it was fantastic.
Dog sledding
Everything has to be tried and I had a "first" when it comes to dog sledding.
After the Tromsø trip I was also able to cross dog sledding off my bucket list.
It was a great experience to steer a dog sled with the sweet Huskies.

Beach holidays in the Caribbean
A visit to the Dominican Republic a few years ago has given me the courage to go to more of the Caribbean.
Life here is wonderfully relaxed and there is no rush.
The turquoise sea is a feast for the eyes and the mind.
