I have fallen in love with the United Arab Emirates and especially Dubai due to their stable warm weather, lovely beaches and orderly travel conditions.
In 2024 I had my eighth visit to Dubai. The last time we stayed on the Palm (the artificial island built outside Jumeirah beach).
Construction of the Palm started back in 2001. The Palm consists of a 5 km long trunk with 16 palm fronds and a crown on top shaped like a crescent moon. It is built of 94 million cubic meters of sand and 7 million tons of stone.
The Palm today houses many hotels and private homes.
Bucket list
The Middle East has long been a politically turbulent area.
I was lucky enough to visit Israel before the war with Hamas broke out in 2023. Here I visited Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
I think it could be exciting to visit Oman, Qatar, Bahrain or Jordan.
Saudi Arabia is clearly the largest country in the area and should perhaps also be visited.
